At Skateboard Australia, we stand by the quality and performance of our electric skateboards and electric scooters. Every product is carefully engineered and tested to deliver an exceptional riding experience. Our warranty policy ensures peace of mind by covering defects in workmanship and materials under normal use.

πŸ› οΈ What We Cover

Our Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty applies to both electric scooters and skateboards:

  • Electronic Components (Motors, ESC, Controller, Charger) – 12 months from purchase
  • Battery Packs – 6 months standard warranty
  • Battery faults between months 6–12 may qualify for a 50% discounted replacement (if deemed a manufacturer defect)
  • Decks, Frames, and Chassis – 12 months
  • Hardware (Wheels, Trucks, Bearings, Screws, Bolts) – 30 days
  • Remote Controllers – 90 days
  • Scooter Stems, Folding Mechanisms & Suspension – 6 months
  • Onboard Displays / Dashboards – 6 months

We will repair or replace covered parts at our discretion, excluding labour or freight unless stated.

To lodge a valid warranty claim, you must:

  • Be the original purchaser from Skateboard Australia
  • Have a valid proof of purchase
  • Submit the claim within the applicable warranty period
  • Use and maintain the product as per the owner’s manual
  • Avoid unauthorised modifications, repairs, or servicing

Our team will assess the issue. If required, we may:

❌ What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The following are excluded from the warranty:

  • Misuse, accidents, stunts, collisions, drops
  • Water damage, fire, flood, or natural disaster
  • Environmental exposure (rust, corrosion, UV fade)
  • Modifications, flashing firmware, or unauthorised parts
  • DIY repairs, improper installation or setup
  • Damage from exceeding weight limits or rough use
  • General wear & tear items:
  • Tyres & tubes
  • Bearings
  • Brake pads, rotors, discs
  • Suspension fluids, seals, or cables
  • Grip tape or rubber decks
  • Kickstands, fenders, plastic covers
  • Improper storage, lack of maintenance, or overdue servicing
  • Packaging or repacking costs
  • Free items or promotional giveaways

⚠️ Voiding the Warranty

Your warranty will be void if:

  • You install non-original parts or modify the device
  • You attempt self-repairs not authorised by us
  • The product is used for rental, courier services, or other commercial use
  • The issue is due to excessive strain (e.g. max throttle uphill over time)

  • If the issue is warrantable, we’ll repair or replace at no cost, excluding freight.
  • If not covered, the customer bears full repair and shipping costs.
  • Replacement parts are covered under the remaining original warranty period.
  • Full unit replacements do not reset the 12-month warranty period.

  • Servicing is not included under warranty.
  • We do not offer support for items purchased outside Skateboard Australia.
  • For accessories or parts, warranty periods may differ.
