Safety & User Policy

At Skateboard Australia, your safety is our top priority. Electric Mobility Devices (e-skateboards, e-scooters, e-bikes) are high-performance machines designed for thrill, freedom, and functionality—but like all personal electric vehicles, they must be used responsibly. Please read this policy carefully before using our products.

By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge that:

  • Electric skateboards and electric Scooters pose inherent risks, including injury or death, if not used properly.

  • Wearing a certified helmet at all times while riding.

  • Using wrist guards, elbow and knee pads, especially for beginners.

  • Wearing visible or reflective clothing in low-light conditions.

🧭 Know the Legal Requirements

Electric skateboards, electric scooters, and e-bikes laws vary by location. It is your responsibility to:

  • Understand and follow local laws and road rules.

  • Avoid restricted areas (e.g. sidewalks, highways, or public parks where motorised vehicles are banned).

  • Operate the board only where permitted.

We do not accept liability for fines or penalties incurred from illegal use.

🛠️ Before Every Ride

  • Ensure the battery is securely mounted and fully charged.

  • Inspect wheels, trucks, and motor mounts for wear or damage.

  • Test the brakes and throttle responsiveness at low speed.

  • Ensure all bolts and screws are tight.

Never ride if your board is damaged, wet, or malfunctioning.

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • In rain, snow, or on wet or slippery surfaces.

  • Do not expose the battery to water, heat, or direct sunlight.

  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Failure to follow charging instructions can result in fire, electric shock, or battery damage.
